MAIDENHEAD, United Kingdom - April 16, 2009 - Virgin Money, the financial services arm of the Virgin Group has announced the launch of a non-profit organisation ´Virgin Money Giving´ which will provide a full range of online fundraising and donation services using Talend Integration Suite. UK fundraising will be facilitated through an online donations website and Talend´s Integration Suite will be the technology behind every fundraising event and donation that Virgin Money Giving facilitates, ensuring data quality and consistency to enable efficient reporting of management information a vital requirement in the non-profit sector.

The non-profit sector is a highly competitive industry with a great need for organisations to be as efficient as possible. Having just signed a five-year deal to be the official sponsor of the London Marathon, Virgin Money Giving has selected Talend Integration Suite to provide detailed information essential for reporting and strategic decision-making.

Chris Edwards, System Delivery Manager, Virgin Money commented: à¢â‚¬à…“We looked at a number of data integration specialists but for us, Talend really stood out. One of the main reasons for selecting Talend was for its technology fit. The fact that Talend´s Integration Suite is also open source is very commercially appealing. It is a great product and the vast range of features that it offers including advanced deployment and scheduling, and live production monitoring, will enable us to customise data integration processes to suit any specific requirements of each charity. This freedom will truly benefit both Virgin Money Giving and its customers providing high quality, flexible MI.

à¢â‚¬à…“Talend Integration Suite will be used primarily for its high-throughput and reliable ETL capabilities, moving operational data into separate reporting repository and transform it so it is optimised for high volume reporting, added Chris.

Talend Integration Suite consolidates all project information and enterprise metadata in a centralised repository that is shared by all stakeholders in the integration processes: business users, job developers, and IT operations staff all of whom can access the same, single version of the truth.

More than £100m was raised through online giving in 2007 and an even higher amount is expected this year. The knock on effect of this trend is the increasing challenge for non-profit organisations to realise data accuracy, integration and consolidation.

Franà§ois Mà©ro, Talend's General Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, expressed: à¢â‚¬à…“On the footsteps of the launch of our UK operations, we are delighted to count Virgin Money Giving among our customers. Virgin Money Giving will deal with huge volumes of data and so it is crucial that the technology moving and processing this data is robust and secure, and we are confident that Talend meets this need perfectly.
